Supplying dough to bring Ysgol Pen-y-Bryn’s Gingerbread Man to life
Our managing director, Peter, had the recent privilege of visiting Ysgol Pen-y-Bryn, a special school based in Swansea for pupils aged 3-19 years old.
Peter was there to find out all about the school’s new enterprise project; producing a printed and interactive book of the Gingerbread Man to gain the youngest pupils in the school qualifications while also raising money for local charities.
As you know, at Welsh Hills Bakery we love gingerbread men (gluten and wheat free of course!) and we were delighted to get involved with the amazing project…so delighted we agreed to be sole sponsor!
Actress Ruth Jones is also involved and will be narrating the audio version which will be shared through iTunes for free and are made available around the world.
Peter was very kindly shown around by James and David and witnessed first-hand the brilliantly creative job the staff and pupils are doing.
We can’t wait to see the final storybook next year.
